Maribor's Pohorje, together with Areh, in the winter turns into the largest winter sports center in our country. More than 40 kilometers of ski slopes (from light, medium to heavy) and over 15 ski lifts await you. In good winter conditions, Maribor's Pohorje and Areh are connected via ski slopes, otherwise a ski bus runs between them. In winter, Maribor's Pohorje boasts more than seven kilometers of illuminated ski slopes, gaining the reputation of a ski resort with the longest night skiing well beyond the Slovenian border. In addition to day and night skiing, it also offers cross-country skiing, sledding, downhill skiing, panoramic snowmobile rides and other winter delights. Maribor's Snow Stadium is also a traditional venue for the annual Alpine Skiing Women's World Cup (Golden Fox).
